FCCLA is the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. They are based on leadership and other learning skills as well as FCS, Family Consumer Science. They perform community service jobs, set up fundraisers, and volunteer work for the community.
One of FCCLA’s projects that they do is the Homecoming Parade. Each year they plan this event with a similar structure to the previous years, making changes for a new outcome and more variety. This all started last year.
Junior Allette Broomall spoke about the process this year. She said, “We actually got really lucky because Kathleen did really really well last year planning and organizing the whole process.” she also said, “We are basing it off of what she planned and doing some changes”
This year the Homecoming Parade will fall on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. It will be held at the same location as last year and will start at 6:15 pm. Our HHS community is thrilled at the opportunity for this event.
