Highlands nominates a senior student every year at the homecoming dance for King and Queen.  The 2018 Queen, Zoie Barth, and King, Austin King, shared who they are outside of just King and Queen.

Do you participate in any sports/clubs here at Highlands? What are they?

“Yes, I play basketball. Also, I’m in National English Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. I am a Freshman mentor and an Ozone Leader. I am on Title IX (a committee for women and men’s equality in sports).”

What do you do in your spare time outside of school?

“I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and playing basketball.”

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

“I would like to pursue a career in medicine, which would mean that in five years, hopefully I will be in Med School.”

Do you have any hidden talents?

“Not really.”

What do you like about being a student here at Highlands?

“I love the community aspect held by Highlands. I also love how everyone strives for greatness.”

What are 3 words you would use to describe yourself?

“Passionate, hard-working, caring.”

Would you say you’re more of an introvert or an extrovert?

“Extrovert.”

Do you work anywhere? Where and how often on average do you work?

“I babysit! It really varies on how often, but I love love love kids

Do you participate in any sports/clubs here at Highlands? What are they?

Football, basketball, FBLA, NHS, MHS, Student Council, Senior Class Officer Committee,

Freshman Mentoring, Big-Little Buddies Mentoring.”

What do you do in your spare time outside of school?

“Play/sports, hang out with friends and family.”

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

“Pursuing my degree of choice (still unknown at the moment)”

Do you have any hidden talents?

“Double-jointed thumbs.”

What do you like about being a student here at Highlands?

“I would definitely say that the best part about being a senior is the atmosphere within the

senior class. I certainly feel as if we are all closer this year because we understand this is our last

go-around together.”

What are 3 words you would use to describe yourself?

“Leader, reliable, compassionate.”

Would you say you’re more of an introvert or an extrovert?

“Moderate extrovert.”

“Do not work at the moment.”
