Dear Evie and Dee,

I’m having issues with life in general. I feel like everything and everyone is against me. My family is causing me issues mainly and I only feel better when I’m out with friends or they are not bothering me.

Sincerely,

Alone and Afraid

Dear Alone and Afraid,

It’s normal to feel this way when you’re in high school. Sometimes it may feel like everyone is against you, but that’s not the case. There is always someone that cares about you and is there to support you. If you don’t feel like you can talk to your family, then talk to your friends. Your friends have probably gone through something similar, so they can help you get through it. If you’re having issues with your family, think about talking to a counselor. Don’t bottle up all of your feelings, because then you’ll become overwhelmed and are more likely to lash out. Talking something out is the best therapy. And remember, this will pass and you can get through it.

Sincerely,

Evie and Dee
