The teacher behind the art of theater is very responsible for helping to create the musicals and plays at our very school. Claire Lanicca plays a vital role in organizing and guiding the incredible productions lots of people enjoy throughout the school year, so it’s no doubt that she gathers her students and lets them put a lot of effort into those performances.
Lanicca teaches both acting techniques and the technical side of productions; she makes sure that everyone gets a well-rounded understanding of the material she is teaching to her students.
But let’s take a closer look at how wonderful she is.
She’s more than just a teacher, she’s a very fun person to be around. She has a happy and cheerful personality often. She’s only ever more serious when it comes to the production of plays and performances. Everyday after all present students enter her classroom she would ask a ‘Question of the Day.’ On Mondays it’s always “How was your weekend?”
Other days it’s often some question based on personal experiences or imaginary scenarios. Occasionally the class has a ‘Worse Joke Wednesday’ where students either come up with corny and cringe dad jokes or search them up online and tell them to that class. Almost every friday. The class hosts ‘Fun Friday’ where everyone plays fun physical activity games. It’s a great break from all the hard work students put into their acting and tech projects throughout the class.
LaNicca often has her students perform plays and musicals to help them become better actors. She and her crew of students were responsible for several plays of this school year such as Puffs and The Spongebob Musical. Plenty of other Highlands Hilltopper articles have detailed all the hard work they put into their performances.
LaNicca does a wonderful job at encouraging her students to try the best they can at acting and working on technology involved with the productions. They spend so much time making those performances entertaining for all age groups. Claire LaNicca’s warm personality makes everyone happy and she is such a memorable and loved teacher for that.
She encourages her students to give their best, whether they’re acting, running lights, or managing sound. Her enthusiasm and encouragement is very positive at times, and her classroom is a place where creativity thrives.
With her warm personality, strong leadership, and passion for theater, Claire LaNicca does a wonderful job at teaching her students and leaves a lasting impression on those people.
