Highlands High School students and staff showed off their creativity on Day 3 of Homecoming Spirit Week with the themes Surfers vs. Bikers for students and Grading Era for teachers. Hallways were filled with leather jackets, floral leis, and plenty of school pride.
Representing the biker side, Colton Bailey (12) struck a fierce pose in his leather jacket, while Eva Weinel (12) and Addy Eifert (12) matched in classic biker looks, bringing confidence and energy to the school halls. On the surfer side, Gigi McFalls (9) rocked a floral lei. “I participated in this theme because my friends and I wanted to all wear leis to school,” Gigi said.
Teachers joined in on the fun with the Grading Era theme. Dawn Carson showed her spirit with a cozy outfit and a pen in her hair — a creative detail representing “grading.” “I enjoyed this theme because I was able to dress comfortably for a whole school day,” she said. Teresa Cain also embraced the theme with a comfortable, colorful outfit and her own pen-in-hair touch.
The day brought a strong sense of community to Highlands, as students and staff alike continued celebrating their Homecoming Week spirit.
