Over the past weekend, senior Regan Ziegler put on her production of “MANSION” along with her cast and crew. The students have been working hard for weeks to get the one acts together and ready to be seen by an audience. Director Regan Ziegler says, “MANSION is about a man in the 1920s who owns a mansion and invites all his closest friends and business partners to a dinner party intending to use them all as sacrifices for a very evil ritual.” Ziegler also recalls the most difficult part of producing her one act, “The hardest part is probably the writing process, just figuring out what people would like and how to utilize everyone’s time well.” The show used pieces like a falling chandelier, fake blood, and many light and sound effects to create the suspenseful atmosphere of the show.

Kara Laber is a junior at Highlands High School. She is very excited to start her fourth year with the publications program as a managing Editor. She loves movies and sewing. Her favorite hobby, other than photography, is working with the costumes crew for theater productions with Highlands and CAST. Kara takes great pleasure in taking photos and writing articles with her fellow publications members. She is hoping for a great year with lots of fun in the publications community.
