On Tuesday, December 3rd, the band program took the stage for their second concert of the year. Coming off of their huge win at state, the band was sure to impress the audience at this event.
They started with the percussion ensemble followed by the jazz ensemble and symphonic band. These three groups played a total of eight Christmas-themed compositions. This took a great deal of preparation. Taylor Short (10) said, “We prepared by practicing the same songs over and over again to make sure everyone knew their parts front and back.”
This performance was a great way for the members to come back from their competition and get back into their regular schedule.
“You know, we can always use more practice, so I think that is how we will continue to improve,” Alex Lancaster (12) said. The band will continue to practice and prepare for new competitions and performances to come.
