Practicing Perfection: Matilda the Musical

Highlands Middle School Takes The Stage At The HHS PAC.

The Highlands Middle School Theater Program recently performed the musical “Matilda” at the Highlands High School PAC (Performing Arts Center). The production ran from January 26 to January 28, allowing Fort Thomas families to witness the unique talent of the middle school students.

The HMS theater program aims to showcase its students’ skills and abilities by creating high-quality productions like “Matilda.” By choosing this particular musical, they were able to captivate their audience with the story of a young girl with extraordinary powers who overcomes adversity and stands up against injustice.

Many people in the audience who watched this musical were thrilled to see all the time and effort the middle school students had put into this show. Many people in the audience were delighted to see this performance, and most people said this might’ve been the best one. 

Finn Roberts, a Freshman at Highlands High School, stated: “The show was perfect for the middle schoolers.” 

William Kearns, a Junior at Highlands High School stated: “They portrayed the characters perfectly.”

Junior Alexandria Lancaster stated: “The best part of the show was when Ms. Trenchable picked up the doll and threw it in the air; the audience laughed.”

The Musical Matilda had many good reviews about the show. The audience was thrilled they watched it and would recommend people watch it again if they had the chance. This was a very fantastic performance the Middle Schoolers could’ve done.
