TikTok is one of the biggest social media platforms amongst teens across America. People use the platform to share opinions as things change in our country.

With the new thoughts of women being drafted into the military in case a war breaks out, women around the country are using TikTok to make jokes about their reactions to the war.

The changes in the drafting policy have been in place for a long time.

The SSS (Selective Service System) posted: “Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced on December 3, 2015, the Department of Defense will lift all gender-based restrictions on military service starting January 2016.”

Even though these implements have been in place since 2016, the true worry is being brought up now. Fears are coming from the new battles between Israel and Palestine.

The thoughts of women being drafted came from a concerned father and TikToker (@nationalmechanicsgroup), who claimed the draft would bring women to the next major war with the United States.

With the accusation of President Joe Biden making these claims, the TikToker went on to say that Biden just wanted to do this in order to make more money for himself and his friends.

Let me get this right, you want to pass a law to draft my daughter to send to another one of your foreign [expletive] wars for something you created, so your arms manufacturers can make more money for your banker friends?”

This was said with no proof of Biden putting the thought of a draft or war into the country, which was a failure for this content creator. As he tried to spread false information, citizens struggled to believe him due to no evidence.

The government has not released any statements on anyone being drafted in the near future.
