The most popular event in 2023 is coming to the big screens in October.
Taylor Swift’s, “The Eras Tour” will be turned into a movie on October 13 and available in theaters. Similar to the concert, viewers will be dressing up and trading their friendship bracelets in the theater.
The movie was announced on August 31 and already broke the record for the biggest day presale at AMC Theaters, earning $37M on its first day in the US.
“I’m going on the opening night with my mom, and we are both so excited to watch the concert on the big screen,” said junior Jordyn McGraw
“I will be going to see the film, but I’m not sure when, ” said senior Brynn Draper.
13 being Swift’s favorite number, the film will be available on streaming platforms 13 weeks after its release.
Other films that are releasing around the same time as the ‘Eras Movie’ such as, ‘The Exorcist: Believer,’ ‘Dumb Money,’ and ‘Ordinary Angels’ will be moving their release dates so they won’t have to compete with the sales.
With the movie coming out in October, Swift’s fourth rerecording of her fifth album, “1989” will be released that same month, on October 27. With this, she sold the movie tickets for $19.89 on ticketing websites.
