On October 21st, Taylor Swift dropped her new album, ‘Midnights,’ which was shared with the world within minutes of the album and was streamed by millions of people. 

Swift has been someone I have looked up to for years upon years. I started listening to her when her album ‘Red’ came out in 2012. I was only 6 years old when the album came out, but I quickly became a big fan.

After lots of marketing with clocks and alarms, the new album is here. Swift used a clock to put together all of her pieces of vinyl. The clocks are a big part of the whole concept of the album.

At 3 A.M., Swift came out with her deluxe version of the album called, ‘Midnights (3 A.M. Edition)’. It included 7 songs on top of the 13 songs that came on the original ‘Midnights’ album.

My rankings after listening to it are all over the place. These are my top 5.

In 5th place comes ‘Bejeweled’. This song has a feel that gives me a funny feeling. It is an easy song to get into.

4th place is one of the lyrically best songs, ‘Anti-Hero’. The lyrics, the music, everything, all bring me to a sad state. It is very relatable. 

The 3rd song on my list is ‘You’re On Your Own, Kid’. Just like ‘Anti-Hero’, these lyrics are relatable and make me extremely happy with how I can relate to the song.

The 2nd song is, ‘Midnight Rain’. The vibe of the song gives an Indie-pop feel. That is my favorite type of music.

Finally, the top song for me on the album is, ‘Maroon’. This is an easy song to listen to. The lyrics fit together perfectly.

Midnights is an album that I was not expecting, but I was very excited about. I thought the next album that fans were going to get would be ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ due to her releasing her re-recording of her hit single ‘Wildest Dreams.” 

Swift put in such hard work for this album. I am beyond proud of what she has done. With the different pressed records, fans are excited to see what is to come for her next album. 

I ordered the Jade Green Vinyl to add to my collection of vinyl I have that belongs to Swift.
