The Hilltopper

Maggie Schroeder
This is Maggie’s second year in journalism.  Her favorite parts of the class are designing yearbook spreads, attempting to take photos, and writing.  Outside of school, one of her favorite things to do is run! She has run track for three (four if you’re reading this in the spring) years and cross country for four years. When she’s not running, she’s most likely at the barn, working or riding her 15 y/o Morgan/Arabian gelding, Dante.  She has ridden horses for eight years now and also has helped to train a few younger horses, too. Some of her other hobbies include hiking, swimming, biking, reading books, listening to music, attempting to bake (aka burning the house down), and taking random walks around town. This year, her favorite class is Mrs. Haffey’s Spanish class because she likes learning a new language and thinks that Mrs. Haffey makes it a lot easier than in the past. For a few quick facts- her favorite food is Graeter’s black raspberry chip ice cream, her favorite color is mint green, her favorite animal is a horse (go figure) and her favorite place she’s ever travelled was either the Bahamas (Atlantis!), Zion National Park or Disney World.
