The Hilltopper

Lexie Crawford
Lexie is the photo editor for The Hilltopper newspaper and The Highlander yearbook. She has taken journalism since eighth grade, and is very excited to be in an editor position at such an early point in her career! She is hoping to go to college for photojournalism and go into a career in the same field.  She’s had many experiences that have taught and helped her. Since fifth grade, Lexie has written for Fort Thomas Matters, and some of her articles have even been published in Fort Thomas Living. In eighth grade journalism, she was a co-editor of the middle school’s first online newspaper. She has also been very into photography since seventh grade. She’s had many paid and volunteer photography jobs, and takes portraits and nature pictures in her free time. Last December through April, she participated in the Manifest Drawing Center’s Envision Project 2, an introduction class to black and white film photography. She learned much about settings, composition, and the whole film process. This year, Lexie is taking the photography 1 course in school, and is furthering her knowledge. Lexie is so excited for The Hilltopper to be a big success, and hopes you like what you see!
